Hi and Welcome.....We are Steve and Lee Smith with Rare Earth Farm - Kokomo, MS.

A little over four years ago after both growing up in Baton Rouge, LA we decided we had enough of the city lifestyle / traffic and decided to find some land with rolling hills and acreage to do a few different things in a quiet atmosphere that was unique from what we had grown to know or commonly known as the “Comfort Zone”.

Our kids were grown and gone so we sold our home of 36 years, took a leap of faith and moved to approximately 15 plus acres in the very rural town Kokomo MS.  

We were asked...”Do you have friends or family up there? Are you moving there for a new job? The short answer was NO.... Just a leap of Faith! 

So, here we are with about 40 plus chickens, 7 bee hives, a nice sized garden and enjoying our land, pond and great new neighbors and friends.  

Yes, we still go back to visit family and friends but this is now our home.
